Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University in collaboration with the Swiss International Association for fractures organized a training session under the title “lower limb fractures surgery" in order to develop internal fixation in general ways, and develop ways to fix the bones.
Prof. d. Abdel Fattah Saud, professor of orthopedic surgery and director of international relations and head of the Egyptian Centre for Training in surgery at Faculty of Medicine explained that the faculty contains the most important anatomical laboratories in the Middle East. This is the result of cooperation between surgery departments and the Department of Anatomy, which is a manual training surgery where the idea is to use a real anatomical specimen feels intern like being a real surgery but securely without the presence of a risk to patients. It is a pioneer idea that emerged in Egypt and Faculty of Medicine for the first time in 2007, the Egyptian Center for training in surgery offers services for the trainees, both from Egypt and abroad.
Saud pointed out that these anatomical samples is imported in agreement with one of the American authorities which are frozen samples from the moment of death, a people recommended to donate their bodies or their organs for the benefit of medical education. These alternative samples to those saved in formalin material and physiological changes happen to her as a result. He stressed that the real samples enter Egypt in a legitimate way through customs; it is kept in refrigerators, deep cooling, which led to a boom in most pediatric surgeries Ain Shams.
